As PGA Members, the passing away of a fellow member, Michel Rennie makes us realize how easily it all can go wrong. Michel was in intensive care for just over a week after his fatal car accident and this sort of hospital care does not come cheaply.

Michels widow, Donna was left with a huge hospital bill and we at Dale Hayes Golf Events felt that we with the assistance of our fellow PGA professionals could be of assistance. I would like to thank all the PGA Professionals who answered my call for help and participated in our tribute fundraising day.

Through the diligent work by Chantelle Vergne, our PR & Marketing Manager at Dale Hayes Golf Events, we were able to source from industry supplies and other kind sponsors, gifts, prizes and auction items. Dale was his usual energetic self and the auction raised R47000 on its own.

This was a great initiative and it shows how tight knit the PGA Professional community is. Once again, thank you to everyone who gave of themselves to make the day a huge success.
